Carmela Gross

Plastic artist, professor at the University of São Paulo since 1972 and PhD in Visual Arts (USP, 1987), Carmela Gross has been carrying out works inserted in the urban space and which bring a critical look at architecture and urban history.

Christiana Carvalho

Photographer since 1975, starting her career photographing dance and theater shows in São Paulo. From 1978 onwards, she dedicated herself to photography of nature and diverse peoples, having spent ten years aboard the Swedish ship Lindblad Explorer.

Clara Figueiredo

Photographer and Researcher. Master and PhD in Visual Arts (2010-2018; ECA/USP). Co-director of the short film O Ruído do Mar (awarded at LAMA, 2020; and at the Accolade Global Film Competition, 2019). She was a professor of photography at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (2018).

Cholera Joy

It is a collaborative action of a political nature. It is interesting to express affections, ideas, cries, suggestions, propositions, reactions about current emergencies. Comprehensively, the aim is to reappropriate symbols, colors, shapes and words distorted by right-wing discourses.

Dora Longo Bahia

Born in São Paulo, in 1961, Dora Longo Bahia holds a PhD in Visual Poetics from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo [ECA – USP] with a postdoctoral degree in Philosophy from FFLCH – USP. She is a professor at the Visual Arts Course at ECA – USP.

Edwin Sanchez Stop

He is an artist and industrial designer. He is Magister in Plastic and Visual Arts at the National University of Colombia. His artistic projects are close to the field of urban chronicle and experimentation in various supports.

Elyeser Szturm

Bachelor in Philosophy from the Federal University of Goiás (1984) and Doctor in Esthétique Sciences et Technologie des Arts – Université de Paris VIII (1994). He is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Brasilia.

Leda Catunda

Born and lives in São Paulo, Brazil. His participation in Como Vai Você, Geração 80?, a group show at the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage, in Rio de Janeiro, in 1984, established Catunda as a pivotal point in Brazilian contemporary art and began a revitalization of painting.

He is an artist, writer, researcher and teacher. Bachelor in Philosophy from USP, Master of Fine Arts (Plastic Arts) and PhD in History of Art from the University of New Mexico, USA, with a Post-Doctorate in Philosophy at USP.

Paulo Pasta

Painter, draughtsman and engraver, Paulo Pasta seeks to build a temporality in painting. The colors and shapes in her works seem to flatten the perception of the passage of time: in front of the canvases, the present is placed in an almost absolute way.

Pedro Moraleida Bernardes

Despite being very young and only at the beginning of his career as an artist, Pedro Moraleida Bernardes left, when he died prematurely, in 1999, at the age of 22, still a student at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG, a large and diverse collection of works of art, consisting of around 450 paintings, 1450 drawings, over four and a half hundred texts and around 120 sound experiments.

Sergio Sister

He took free courses in Drawing and Painting at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado – Faap, in São Paulo, between 1964 and 1967, and drawing, with Ernestina Karman (1915 – 2004), from 1965 to 1967. Between 1968 and 1975, he graduated in Science social sciences and a graduate degree in political science at USP. During this period, he was arrested for political reasons.
