Journalist Glenn Greenwald's false and opportunistic inferences were irresponsibly orchestrated by the newspaper Folha de S. Paul and launched against Minister Alexandre Moraes
Alexandre de Moraes is the rapporteur at the STF for the investigations into the anti-democratic acts that culminated in the vandalism of January 8, 2023 against the powers of the Republic and, by historical coincidence, was also, until June 2024, president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). Evidently, there was judicial cooperation through which the information obtained in the electoral judicial investigations within the scope of the TSE served as evidence in the STF investigations.
It would be absurd to demand that Minister Alexandre de Moraes officially issue requests for investigations or information to himself. As a judge of the STF and rapporteur of the inquiries, he requested information from the TSE where, in his capacity as its President, he acted “ex officio” where he had police powers. From this “incestuous” relationship, although completely legal, factoids emerged based on false and opportunistic inferences by journalist Glenn Greenwald that were irresponsibly orchestrated by the newspaper Folha de S. Paul and launched against Minister Alexandre Moraes, which was praised by Elon Musk. The objective was to shear a pig, and cause a lot of noise, but no wool was obtained since pigs do not produce it.
This is certainly part of a much larger plan to destabilize the STF and the Lula government, also aiming at the desired amnesty for the coup plotters of January 8, 2023, especially the ineligible Jair Bolsonaro. The involvement of the Civil Police of São Paulo, which obtained messages from the cell phone of Eduardo Tagliaferro, former aide to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, who is being investigated for assaulting his wife, raises serious suspicions about the possible involvement of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, in this plan to cause the impeachment of Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
The right doesn't want to know about regulating communication platforms since fake news are essential to garner support and votes from the unwary who immediately support the hateful agendas of the far right. The situation is quite complex because the digital militias and the financial market, together with the Central Bank of Brazil, do not want to submit to any form of regulation. But, deep down, the situation is much more complicated.
This is, in fact, a conservative counter-revolution aimed at restructuring the US's global geopolitical power in the world. Steve Bannon, Elon Musk, D. Vance and Donald Trump are leading this movement, which clearly has Alexandre de Moraes and Lula as its main Brazilian enemies.
“The office of Minister Alexandre de Moraes clarifies that, during the course of the investigations of Inq 4781 (Fake News) and Inq 4878 (digital militias), under the terms of the rules, several orders, requests and demands were made to numerous agencies, including the Superior Electoral Court, which, in the exercise of its police power, has the authority to prepare reports on illegal activities, such as disinformation, electoral hate speech, attempted coup d'état and attacks on Democracy and Institutions. The reports simply described the illegal posts made on social media, in an objective manner, since they were directly linked to the investigations of digital militias. Several of these reports were included in these investigations and other related ones and sent to the Federal Police for the continuation of the necessary due diligences, always with the knowledge of the Attorney General's Office. All procedures were official, regular and are duly documented in the inquiries and investigations underway at the STF, with full participation of the Attorney General's Office”.
