Graduated in Sciences du Langage – Universite de Paris VIII (1989), has a Master’s (DEA) in Sciences du Langage (DEA) – Universite de Paris VIII (1990) and a PhD in Linguistics and Portuguese Language from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Son (2002). He was Visiting Professor at the University of Algarve in the Erasmus Mundus program of the European Community (2008) and guest researcher at the Université Catholique de Louvain (2014/2015). He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Letters at the Federal University of São Carlos, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. He has experience in Linguistics, with an emphasis on Computational Linguistics, working mainly on the following subjects: crystallized expressions, lexicogrammar, electronic dictionaries and corpus linguistics.
