Israel acts like WWII Germany

As some of you may know, I emphatically disagree with those who believe the Holocaust was a fabrication or an exaggeration. I will be happy to discuss the topic with anyone, anytime, anywhere. With my position firmly established on this point, you will then understand that I am not trivializing the accusation that the Israeli authorities behave with the same ferocity and lack of humanity as the Nazis. Brazilian President Lula created a huge uproar this week when he accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, in the same way that the Nazis tried to exterminate the Jews in World War II.

Let's start with the ghettos. The Nazis rounded up Jews and forced them to live in ghettos. They were walled and the exits were guarded by soldiers. This is precisely the situation in which the people of Gaza find themselves. Just look at the similarities in the videos below.

I am particularly struck by the eerily similar images of Jews and Palestinians carrying all their belongings in a suitcase or plastic bag. The wall that Israel erected to imprison the Palestinians is just another unfortunate point of comparison.

Then there is the treatment of “prisoners”. The Jews in Auschwitz were dehumanized.

Like the Nazis, Israeli Zionists routinely strip and humiliate Palestinian prisoners. The facts presented in the following video speak for themselves.

Daily life in the Warsaw Ghetto was one of hunger, deprivation and relentless suffering.

This is the same experience that Palestinians face today. Israeli settlers block the arrival of humanitarian aid. Israeli snipers are targeting Palestinians trying to take a box of supplies and food.

I note the irony that YouTube allows unrestricted access to viewing images of the Holocaust, but tries to limit who can view similar images from Gaza. What is happening in Gaza is a war crime of gigantic proportions. Unfortunately, only Yemen carries out military attacks to try to force Israel to stop the carnage.

Israel, by its conduct, profanes the legacy of the Jews who were exterminated by the Nazis and those who survived. Israel's conduct is brutal and sadistic. I fear we will not see the end of this before there are more than 100 Palestinians dead.
