Environmental inequality affects the dispossessed in the expropriation of their environments and in the precarious conditions that characterize their location in cities
By HENRI ACSELRAD: The environment is attacked and subjected to powers that become uncontrolled and mediated exclusively by the logic of large private property
By HENRI ACSELRAD: The current government has made it clear that it does not care about multilateral international relations and that its plan is to dismantle the public environmental regulation machine at the national level.
By HENRI ACSELRAD: The political environment in Brazil has been little open to the free exercise of critical debate on the social and environmental impacts of mining projects

Everything indicates that we are observing the effects of a lasting unequal protection, arranged in time, continuous and capable of drastically marking the social history of the bodies of blacks and the poor.
By HENRI ACSELRAD: In Brazil today, the exercise of memory shows that no matter how much freedom is achieved, it will never be achieved enough.
By HENRI ACSELRAD: Something serious happens when words, instead of being bearers of the law and communication of the spirit, become conductors of terror and falsehood.
